Best Solo Musician 2024
Final Concert at 7:00 PM (tickets €15 / €10)
At the fourth Best Solo Musician Competition, the audience will once again choose the genuine and authentic solo musician! The soloist competition aims to honor traditional music while also fostering musicians’ reunions and mutual support.
Accordionist and Director of the Estonian Traditional Music Center, Tarmo Noormaa, recalls: “I remember when I first started playing and after my first public performance, the legendary Võru accordionist Elmar Ruusamäe encouraged me to continue playing—his positive attitude gave me so much confidence! I hope to provide all participants with a similarly inspiring feeling of support!”
A true musician is valued in any circle and throughout history! Naturally, a great musician is characterized by excellent playing skills. Sometimes, a superb musician is extremely charismatic and talkative, while their relationship with their instrument can be deeply personal and intimate. They may also stand out for their exceptional knowledge of traditions and ability to get the audience dancing. The musician awarded the Best Solo Musician title possesses all these qualities and perhaps even more!
